Isaiah 19:4-6

International Standard Version

⁴ I will hand the Egyptians over
    to the power of a cruel master,
        and a fierce king will rule over them,”

⁵ “The water sources^[a] of the Nile^[b] will be dried up,
    and the river^[c] will become dry and parched.
⁶ The canals will stink,
    and^[d] the tributaries of Egypt will dwindle and dry up.
        Reeds and rushes will wither away.^[e]
